Take a glimpse into some of the most exciting #construction events that are taking place in 2016. Although you may have missed some of them, you should definitely keep an eye on for next year!

 

#EcoBuild [7th - 9th March 2017]

Ecobuild is one of the largest events happening across the build environment, gathering more than 33,319 high-calibre senior level decision makers and influencers from architects and developers to local government and major infrastructure clients.

 #RICSbuilding [19th April 2017]

The focus for RICS 2016 Building Surveying Conference revolved around being 'fit for the future' and embracing the imminent change that's going to happen along with its influence on the profession and the market. See some of this year's highlights here.

#NEBExpo [26th - 27th April 2017]

North England Build Expo is the construction event you should not miss if you live in the North of England. This is a recurring event, taking place every April in Manchester. Their Skills Hub zone represents the focal point where leading construction companies along with recruitment agencies and universities meet to discuss about opportunities within the sector.

 

#Visionldn [6th - 7th June 2017]

Vision London is the place where all the built environment specialists meet, from award-winning architects to cutting-edge product manufacturers. This is a brilliant networking opportunity for professionals in the industry that also encompasses a series of innovative educational sessions (e.g. Pecha Kucha style presentations, technology talks, product presentations and so on).

#CISummit2016 [20th – 21st September 2016]

The Construction Industry Summit specific event is organised by the Construction Industry Council, the Strategic Forum for Construction and the Construction Industry Training Board.
This two-day conference and exhibition is an incredible networking opportunity for professionals across all sectors of the built environment.

 

#BIMconference [29th September 2016]

The aim of the BIM Conference is to educate people through offering clear, accurate and unbiased guidance on how to use BIM on different types of projects.
The main points of discussion for the conference will be (OPEN BIM; Big Data; PAS BS1192; BIM protocol; model checking and validation and the 'federated model' workflow with IFC and BCF).

#ConstructExpo [6th October 2016]

If you live in the South East, Construction Expo is the event that you must attend if you want to learn, network and capitalise on the region's major construction opportunities.
There is a great variety of things you can do from attending a Business Breakfast & Dinner to going to the meet buyers and wandering around 200 exhibitors showcasing their products and services.

#UKCW [18th – 20th October 2016]

UK Construction Week is the biggest construction trade event in the UK. It usually takes place at the NEC Birmingham, accommodating 1,000 exhibitors and over 24,000 visitors. The event includes nine shows which include: Build Show, Timber Show, Civils Expo, Plant & Machinery Live, Energy 2016, Smart Buildings 2016, Surface & Materials Show and HVAC 2016.

#LondonBuild [26th – 27th October 2016]

London Build Show is a massive encompassing an exhibition zone, a market intelligence zone, an architects zone, a skills hub, health&safety zone and a sustainability zone. Various conference sessions and CPD accredited workshops will be taking place. It's the place where thousands of leading Contractors, Architects, Engineers, Developers and governmental representatives meet.

#DigiConWeek [26th – 27th October 2016]

Digital Construction Week is an event meant to explore the impact of technology and innovation on the construction industry. It goes beyond technical discussions about #BIM by exploring wider opportunities that instigate industry change.
