Transport Planner (Development Control)

New long term contract position created for an experienced Transport Planner with a background in local authority development control procedures.

Working within the client’s local authority Highways and Transport Planning team, you will be responsible for:

• Assessing and evaluating planning applications and development proposals
• Making technical comments in regards to highway and transport implications / assessments
• Liaising with external bodies such as developers, stakeholders and the public, etc
• Providing pre-application advice

Previous relevant experience should include:

• Assessing planning applications for major developments from a highways and transport angle.
• Providing formal written observations on the planning applications to the council.
• Experience in the analysis of detailed transport assessments, travel plans, etc.

*Flexible working arrangements are available alongside part-time working if required.
