About the company:

A fantastic opportunity for a Station Manager has emerged with a leading civil and engineering construction company who has a global presence, with offices in the UK, mainland Europe and beyond.

Job description:

The role of Station Manager requires a night Manager to coordinate and supervise the station works, supported by the lead SPC, MEP F&C Night Manager and Enabling Works Shift Manager during nightshifts.

Among others, the Station Manager duties will also consist of;

  • Monitoring of all works within the station (Civils, I&M implementation, Surveys, enabling works and more)
  • Coordination and communication with the resident LUL Station Supervisor to ensure maximum efficiency. 
  • Ensuring project priorities are in order and are clearly implemented on site.
  • Liaise with Day Shift staff including Day Management on issues regarding works progress, project priorities, and health and safety issues and making sure that all concerns have been properly recorded and reported to the relevant parties.

Requirements:

  • Good communicator – able to write and orate verbal reports at Management level.
  • BSc or higher in a quantitative discipline, ideally in an Engineering-based course - HNC/HND may be considered with very significant level of experience in a senior technical engineering position.
  • Substantial experience in similar London Underground works and carrying out similar tasks.
  • Demonstrable experience in medium/large size projects in preparation, documentation, procurement, planning, set up and execution of works, and coordination and supervision of the activities, ideally in tunnelling projects.
  • Previous experience managing programmes of work and ensuring that projects stay on schedule.
  • Experience leading site teams.
  • Supervisory CSCS Card (must be valid!)
  • Must be computer literate, with ability to use MS Office (particularly Excel, Outlook and Word).
