Job Title: Site Agent - Highways

Role: Permanent

Rate: £45-50k + car allowance + Benefits

This is a privately owned company with an impressive history built on integrity and responsibility. Their longevity is something that their proud of. There are references in correspondence dated around 1778 that indicate that the company was in existence sometime before that.

As this business continues to grow and develop, they are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Site Agent to initially work on a major Highways scheme.

The duties of the chosen Site Agent will include:

• Undertaking the management of Section Engineers, Site Engineers, Section Managers and Foreman
• Driving the construction phase of project
• Managing and controlling all project resources
• Being responsible for all management of the project – within budget set
• Ensuring all Health and Safety procedures are being complied with
• Ensuring that all aspects of the project are effectively monitored and controlled
• Managing and monitor subcontractors and liaising with client and designers
• Attending monthly progress meetings and compile monthly reports
• Reporting to Line Manager on a regular basis
• Managing Quality & Environmental plans on site
• Introducing improvements and innovations where appropriate
• Controlling  contract costs

Requirements for the role:

• Knowledge and experience of Highways standards and procedures
• Experience of working within a Principle Contractor environment
