Senior Quantity Surveyor - Buckinghamshire

They have built a reputation of delivering some of the UK’s most complex and prestigious landscaping contracts.  Their portfolio includes major commercial, residential, sport arena and regeneration schemes with values up to £20m.

Due to sustained growth and key new contracts commencing in 2018, they have an immediate need for an ambitious and career focused Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.  The position will see you mainly based in head office but will require travel to project sites in London and the Home Counties.  Current contracts range from £500k to 6m in value.

The position will see you oversee a team of 3 other commercial staff, whilst reporting into the Group Commercial Director.  A key element of the role will be to ensure the smooth commercial running of the projects and in general to look after the contractual interests of the company.  It will suit a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys taking autonomy over their own work, is comfortable working to tight deadlines and who is prepared to offer advice and be able to solve issues when they arise.  On a daily basis you will work closely with the project and engineering teams as well as get involved in pre-construction.

A key requirement is the understanding of both JCT and NEC form of contracts.

The profile will suit a Surveyor ideally with a landscaping / groundworks / specialist civils background and with knowledge of both NEC and JCT.
