Senior Quantity Surveyor - Essex

A well respected specialist main contractor has identified an opportunity to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor into the business. This expanding organisation has been delivering outstanding buildings for over 150 years’ with a wealth of experience in new builds, refurbishments and the delicate modernisation of heritage buildings.

They have developed a comprehensive portfolio in the following sectors, commercial, housing, rail, education, local councils, industrial, retail, health, leisure and airports. There will be a range of projects the chosen QS will work on from new build schools to warehouses and crematoriums. These projects will vary in value from £0.5m to £3.5m.

Whilst reporting to an experienced Managing Director, you will have the opportunity to build your own portfolio and expand your knowledge in these sectors. This role will see you joining a team who likes to be described as one big family. With successful performance the opportunity to progress to a Commercial Manager position in just a few years’ time is definitely attainable.

Required:

• Refurbishment experience
• Knowledge of contracts law
• Experience in measurements
• Full, clean driving license
• Degree qualified or equivalent

Desired:

• A willingness to get stuck in and be part of the team
