Senior Quantity Surveyor (Groundworks) - Essex

Come and join a well-respected family run groundworks specialist!

A local contractor has identified the need to recruit an experienced Groundworks Senior Quantity Surveyor due to a recent influx of work from some long-standing clients. These are schemes that range between £100k-3m in the areas of Essex and Kent within a variety of environments.

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, your duties will be:

• Managing a portfolio of 5-6 projects at any one time under your own autonomy
• Maintain and build relationships with existing and prospective clients
• Use your commercial acumen to ensure costs are reduced/savings are made

The ideal Senior Quantity Surveyor will have a structured career history working for specialist groundworks contractors overseeing projects up to £5m in value using the NEC form of contract. A degree within Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management will also be advantageous, or another relevant qualification will suffice.

The Commercial Manager is looking for a Surveyor he can trust to be left to their own devices to run the schemes successfully from a commercial aspect. In return, there will be the opportunity to receive a substantial performance related bonus.
