This highly impressive contractor is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Manager to set up and lead the Health & Safety on this landmark Highways project, boasting a budget well over a billion pounds. This high-profile role is a chance to leave a lasting imprint on the nation's travel landscape.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Lead a team of Health & Safety professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Health & Safety practices into all aspects of the project.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, and training sessions to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Health & Safety matters, liaising with regulatory bodies and stakeholders.

Skills & Experience Required:

• A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Proven experience in a senior Health & Safety role within the construction or highways sector.
• Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
• A strategic thinker with a track record of implementing effective Health & Safety initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
