With more than half a century’s experience my client is a leader in the pre-stressing and post-tensioning markets, bringing innovative ideas and creative solutions to the construction sector in terms of structural repairs and bridge works. To continue their growth in the UK market they are now looking to recruit a Project Manager in to their team.

Summary:

The role of Project Manager will see you take responsibility for the management of supervisors, engineers and the construction site in order to achieve required project delivery to the customers’ objectives, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control.

Your role as Project Manager will also see you:

• Ensuring accurate implementation of all engineering controls and compliance with the contract drawings and specification
• Producing risk assessments and method statements for safe execution of the works
• Managing site activities to ensure work is completed on time and within budget
• Managing resources to ensure work is completed to site goals and systems requirements
• Liaising with the Senior Foreman on daily basis issues related with programme, resources, production, productivity necessary to meet with programme requirements
• Monitoring quality, safety and environmental systems and promote a safety culture
• Managing project risk in line with company procedures

To be considered for this role the successful Site Manager will ideally have the following background and experience:

• Demonstrable experience within a Senior Site Agent / Project Management role for an appropriately sized civil engineering organisation.
• Previous experience working on Structural Repairs or New Build Bridge Projects
• Degree or higher level qualification in a numerate discipline typically an engineering or related discipline.
• Must be happy to work away from home when required.
• Ideally MCIOB or similar Chartership

The company are offering a salary in the region of £60k + car allowance + subsistence (when staying away)
