Project Director - Leading Civil Engineering Contractor

Project: Sizewell C - multi-billion-pound Nuclear Power Station project

Leading civil engineering contractor is looking to recruit a Project Director to play a key role on the Sizewell C, nuclear power station project. As Project Director you will lead and manage the production operations of multiple projects ensuring delivery of projects to meet or exceed targets and expectations and managing customer relationships through to delivery, retaining the customer following the achievement of expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate a high-performance culture by providing effective guidance, advice, and feedback.
  • Lead change initiatives and team development, promoting effective teamwork through communication and shared goals.
  • Recognise and leverage employee strengths to maintain high performance, while addressing underperformance with constructive feedback and improvement planning.
  • Exemplify safety leadership, ensuring the safety of all team members through guidance, persuasion, and direction.

  • Foster a sustainability culture, considering environmental, social, and economic impacts in decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified.
  • Membership of an industry-related Professional Body.
  • Relevant Construction Skills Certificate Card.

 

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Proven experience in self-delivery project management and managing multiple projects.
  • Strategic acumen to manage performance and ensure success.
  • Experience managing teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Ability to participate effectively in work winning.
  • Financial awareness to achieve targets and manage risks.
