An infrastructure solutions company that was founded over 100 years ago and is one of the oldest civil engineering companies in the UK has been given the responsibility of providing the maintenance services for a large scale water asset maintenance framework contract that has been set in motion for a period of 5 years with an option to potentially be extended for 10 years. This contractor in question will be providing the overall management and delivery of the water network which includes 96 water treatment and 575 waste water treatment sites which provides social services to 6 million people to the North West of England.

The infrastructure contractor has mobilised a delivery team to be implemented on an urgent clean water project in which the applicant will form an integral part with the task team with site locations between Liverpool and Manchester areas.

The contractor in question requires a Project Controller to partially be client facing and to interact with client project controls and management teams.

As the Project Controller your working week will be from Monday to Friday and your working hours will be from 08:00 - 18:00(10 hours a day) and the Project Controller will work under instruction from the operational/delivery management team.

Responsibilities of the Project Controller:

  • Administration of framework project “plan” for managed services framework. 200+ individual small schemes in various stages of Implementation.
  • Will include (as a minimum) time, cost and resource loading Maintenance of project schedules, including milestone dates for various project stages Periodic internal reporting on cost, schedule and resource demands including provision of dashboards and evidence to support KPIs etc. 
  • Client facing – will liaise with the client project controls team to provide monthly updates on project status (in conjunction with management team).

Requirements for the successful Project Controller:

  • Primavera project planning system.
  • Must display strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and written/oral communication skills.
  • They should be detail-oriented who can consistently meet deadlines and possess the ability to work independently as needed.
  • Computer, interpersonal and customer service skills are necessary.
  • The Project Controller must be able to multi-task and demonstrate the ability to work with a diverse work group.
