Piping Designer

Are you an experienced Piping Designer looking to join a major project in Belgium? This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large-scale, high-profile facility with a leading engineering and construction team — contributing to the design and development of critical process infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and develop 3D piping layouts and isometric drawings using CAD/3D design software (e.g., AutoCAD Plant 3D, SmartPlant, PDMS, E3D).
- Create detailed design drawings and general arrangements for piping systems, supports, and associated equipment.
- Work closely with process, mechanical, and civil teams to ensure full coordination of designs.
- Interpret P&IDs, specifications, and vendor data to produce accurate models and drawings.
- Participate in design reviews, clash detection, and constructability assessments.
- Support site-based teams during fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Ensure all design activities comply with project standards, safety regulations, and QA/QC requirements.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a Piping Designer within industrial, process, or life sciences projects (e.g., pharmaceutical, chemical, or manufacturing).
- Proficient in 3D design tools such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, SmartPlant 3D, or E3D.
- Strong understanding of piping materials, codes, and standards (ASME, EN, ISO).
- Experience producing isometrics, MTOs, and GA drawings for complex piping systems.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary engineering environment and coordinate effectively with other design teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to solving technical challenges.
- Fluent in English (Dutch or French would be an advantage).
