Salary To £80k + Package

Leading Engineering Contractor is looking to recruit a Package Manager to play a key role on the HS2 project. The successful package Manager will be responsible for the Structural Steel and you will play a leading role in delivering the works across multiple assets. The appointed Package Manager will have a strategic approach to foster outstanding relationships with key subcontractors, guaranteeing precision and excellence from inception to completion.

Responsibilities extend to harmonising the organisational requirements with the supply chain's capabilities, promoting a streamlined and cost-effective delivery of services. As the central figure of the package delivery, collaboration. You must have a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects, with a particular focus on structural steel. A deep understanding of the contract lifecycle is essential, coupled with a talent for negotiating and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

As Package Manager you will be responsible for engaging with the in house and subcontract technical teams to obtain specialist support for technical challenges. To also support the commercial team with the administration of the subcontract. Ensure that the Delivery Managers are maintaining contemporaneous records. Proactively manage risks and opportunities within the subcontract scope. Ensure that the Delivery Managers are fully conversant on the scope of works and attendances to the supply chain so that change can be effectively managed.  

Skills & Experience:

•             Suitable building/civil engineering technical qualification HNC/HND/Degree

•             Experience of managing Structural Steel Packages

•             Experience of managing NEC Subcontracts

•             Experience of working in large complex nationally significant infrastructure projects.

               Relevant CSCS Card.
