Infrastructure Design Engineer - Surrey

You will be responsible for your own projects production from inception to completion including project management, financial management, report writing and producing calculations, specifications and scheme designs. 

Key areas of responsibility to include:

• Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies.
• Leadership and management on a project basis.
• Providing technical/commercial knowledge and decisions to control exposure to risk as necessary.
• Developing client relationships to expand and strengthen your contacts network.

Key areas of project activity to include:

• Highways and Drainage Engineering in relation to civils building projects.
• Residential schemes / schools / industrial units / commercial and retail buildings etc.

Key personal and professional attributes required for your success:

• Significant knowledge and experience of the principles and application of all relevant regulations (Manual for Streets, DMRB, Sewers for Adoption, etc).
• Experience of PDS, Microdrainage and AutoCAD (Civils 3D preferable).
• Knowledge and experience of the application of the CDM Regulations.
• Enthusiasm and positive mind-set along with excellent communication skills to convey messages and suggestions effectively.
• Able to demonstrate creativity and innovation in design of civil engineering solutions across highways and drainage design.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of the professional risks carried by the practice.
