As HV Protection Engineer you will:

• Produce electrical designs for HV distribution and connections projects up to 132kV
• Perform protection grading studies
• Ensure all designs are carried out in accordance with standards governing the industry and client requirements

Requirements:

• Experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within the HV sector, ideally having worked for a Distribution Network Operator (DNO), Independent Connections Provider (ICP) or consultancy on new connections from 11kV to 132kV
• Secondary substation or protection design / protection settings / protection studies experience (desirable)
• General substation design experience up to 132kV – primary / plant, switchgear, cables
• Understanding of the civil engineering aspect of substation construction
• HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
• Experienced user of AutoCAD
