Can you “hit the ground running” on a busy workload of reviewing planning applications in the context of highway engineering?

Do you know your Section 278’s from your Section 38’s?

Great! Let’s talk about this new contract job opportunity I have with a busy highways and traffic engineering department.

Your day-to-day duties will include the reviewing of planning applications related to highways infrastructure projects and making comments and suggestions on the associated highway legal agreements.

These include Section 278 and Section 38 agreements, but you already knew that, didn’t you?

To be a success in this role, you should have a solid understanding of highway applications associated with highway development control processes under the Highways Act along with previous experience of checking developers design submissions, ensuring compliance with current regulations, standards and specifications.

This opportunity is likely to extend to a 12 month contract for the person able to deliver value, expertise and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
