With more than half a century’s experience this Principal Contractor is a leader in the structural strengthening and refurbishment market, bringing innovative ideas and creative solutions to the construction sector across a wide range of new and existing structures. Due to a successful bid they are now looking to recruit an Engineering Manager (CEM) in to their team to assist in the running of a new Framework in their rail division.

Summary:

The role of Engineering Manager will see you heavily involved with the bid process on projects across the framework from a technical and design viewpoint, acting as a central point for internal and external technical and design resources and managing them to successfully deliver solutions for the projects, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control.

Your role as the Framework Engineering Manager will also see you:

  • Take ownership of the design and technical aspects of the project lifecycle from bid to handover.
  • Building efficient and effective relationships with all stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Managing resources to ensure work is completed to site goals and systems requirements.
  • Represent the company at project and framework meetings with Network Rail.
  • Monitoring quality, safety and environmental systems and promote a safety culture

To be considered for this role the successful Framework Engineering Manager will ideally have the following background and experience:

  • Demonstrable experience within an Engineering Management role for an appropriately sized civil engineering organisation.
  • Previous experience working on projects involving Network Rail Structures
  • Degree or higher level qualification in a numerate discipline typically an engineering or related discipline.
  • Ideally MICE or similar Chartership
  • PTS card holder
  • Previous approval as a CEM by Network Rail
