As a £400m+ turnover contractor, this organisation has built a reputation for being a leader in providing excellence in service and expertise for utilities projects across the UK. They cover all sectors of utilities, including water, power, gas and telecoms. Their portfolio is built of both long-term framework agreements and one-off assigned projects. After being successful in winning awards recently such as ‘top 50 women in Engineering’ and being endorsed for their training and development regimes, they are now looking to use this success to expand as an organisation.
They are looking to source an Estimator for their pre-construction on a recently won framework contract for HS2. This is a long-term agreement that this contractor is delivering all of the utility diversions and enabling works for one of Europe’s largest infrastructure schemes. Pricing will be done at a fast pace and will be done using schedule of rates due to the contract being framework focused. The successful Estimator will be working closely with the Framework Director and Lead Estimator.
The Ideal Individual:
This opportunity would be ideal for either an Estimator with 3-5 years’ experience in pricing work on civils/utilities framework contracts, or an experienced Quantity Surveyor with an eye to get into pre-construction.
