Electrical Engineer – Data Centre Project

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a leading contractor delivering a major hyperscale data centre project in Frankfurt. This role offers long-term work on one of Europe’s most technically advanced and fast-paced projects, working alongside a highly skilled M&E delivery team.

You'll play a key role in driving electrical installation, coordination, testing and commissioning activities — ensuring quality, safety and technical excellence across the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of large-scale electrical systems across a live data centre construction project
• Review, coordinate and manage electrical drawings and technical documentation
• Work closely with subcontractors, providing guidance and ensuring quality standards are met
• Troubleshoot technical issues and assist with resolution during installation and commissioning
• Monitor progress against programme and support project management reporting
• Maintain document control, ensuring logs and records remain fully up-to-date
• Prepare test packs, commissioning documentation and handover paperwork
• Promote a strong health & safety culture and ensure all site procedures are followed
• Drive continual improvement and maintain high housekeeping standards on site

Experience & Requirements

• Degree / HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 5+ years’ experience in an electrical engineering role within M&E contracting or building services
• Data centre, pharmaceutical or high-tech facility experience highly advantageous
• Strong technical understanding of electrical services installation & commissioning
• Excellent communication, coordination and organisational skills
• Confident with Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel)
• Ability to travel / work in Frankfurt on a long-term basis
