Development Manager - Essex

I have a great opportunity working for a newly formed company as a Development Manager, this is an exciting one-off opportunity working for a well-run new organisation with several benefits.

This company is seeking a Development Manager who must be enthusiastic, committed and an experienced development professional to play a lead role in this newly formed Housing Development Company, Colchester Amphora Homes.

The company, which is wholly owned by Colchester Borough Council, is tasked with developing an ambitious delivery programme of new build, high quality homes for rent and for private sale.

As Development Manager for the company you will be responsible for leading and delivering all aspects of this programme, from site identification and acquisition, through to construction and sales completions

 The role will include:

• Leading a multi-disciplinary team of skilled construction and property professionals ensuring that works are completed on time and on budget
• Developing a robust delivery programme which meets objectives and advise the Board on financial and key target performance.
• Project Manage sites through the entire pre- development and development process, monitoring capital budgets, key risks and contractor relationships. Manging projects from inception to completion ensuring objectives are met at all times
• Continue to expand and develop the delivery programme  

Essential:

• Inception through to completion experience of project management within residential schemes
• Must have a strong knowledge of housing, health & safety and development
• Must have a clear track record of meeting and exceeding organisational targets with a driven attitude to succeed
