Our client is an international engineering contractor that has developed an outstanding reputation.  They are currently involved in a prestigious JV to deliver a major section of HS2.
 
They are looking for an experienced Lead Quantity Surveyor who will have the ability to manage the project over the course of the contract, working closely with the sector Commercial Director and Project Director to ensure their portion of work is delivered within the commercial targets set.
 
The suitable candidate will need to have experience in being able to operate independently, along with working closely and confidently with Directors sitting on the JV Board.  Over the course of the project you will be able to develop and mould a small commercial team.  In terms of the company, their reputation of looking after their employees is exceptional!
 
The suitable applicant will ideally have the following background and experience:
 
• £50m + package or project management experience you have been commercially responsible for
• Strong client interfacing skills, with an eye on spotting commercial opportunity
• NEC experience
• Looking for a long term role
• Need to have a structured career history
