Clerk of Works - London

This opportunity is for a Clerk of Works to work with a Multi-Disciplined Building Consultancy which has a track record built up over 30 years.

Over the years they have built a reputation of integrity, reliability and excellence for all of their services.

They are involved with residential, commercial and educational projects.

They require a Clerk of Works to join their team. You will have experience of new build developments, refurbishment projects or cyclical maintenance. You will ensure the quality of the project and carryout inspections against the client brief. Identifying any problems whilst ensuring Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to on site.

This role will see you establishing a strong working relationship with the contractor and their team from the outset whilst resolving and preventing any disputes or issues that may arise during the course of the project.

Being a member of the Institute of Clerk of Works (ICWCI) would be desirable in this role.

Duties:

• Liaise with Building Contractors
• Undertake regular inspections of construction work and monitor progress
• Prepare written reports with supporting photographs on weekly intervals
• Organise snagging and ‘end of defects’ inspections with the client in attendance

The successful Clerk of Works will have:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Clerk of Works 
• Working on new build or refurbishments projects
• Good interpersonal skills
• A valid and up to date driving licence

On offer for the role is a day rate up to £280LTD on a long term contract.

Part time availability will also be considered
