Location: Central London (Hybrid/Flexible Working)
Salary: £80,000 – £120,000 (DOE)

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Civils Division at mid-to-senior level. Reporting into the Pre-Construction Director and working closely with the Civils Estimating Lead, this role is both hands-on and strategic, with significant scope for progression into senior leadership.
You will take responsibility for pricing projects and packages independently, as well as supporting on larger, high-value tenders. This is a collaborative environment where you will be trusted to work under your own direction while contributing to the success of the wider team. You will price work in the range from £1m to £30m, with the core focus on projects between £10m and £15m.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for civil engineering projects.
- Price and manage 2–6 tenders per month, across project/package values from £1m to £30m.
- Take ownership of specific packages and full project estimates, while supporting on larger bids.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the estimating team, engineers, and project managers.
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure comprehensive tender submissions.
- Contribute to bid strategies, including risk management and value engineering opportunities.
Required Experience
- 5–10 years’ experience as an Estimator within the civil engineering sector.
- Experience working with a Tier 1 or leading contractor.
- Proven ability to price projects in the following areas:
- Deep basements
- Temporary works
- Obstructions
- Drainage
- Piling
- Logistics
- Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of current market conditions.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Ambition to grow into a senior role, learning processes and strategy.
