Salary: £40,000 – £49,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About the client:
Our client is a specialist electrical contractor delivering vital power and utility infrastructure across the UK. With a strong reputation in the high-voltage and low-voltage distribution sector, they are currently seeking experienced cable jointers to support key contracts nationwide.

About the role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out jointing works on LV and HV electrical distribution networks, ensuring that safety, quality, and efficiency are maintained to the highest standards. This is a field-based role requiring flexibility to work across different sites and regions.

Key responsibilities:

• Carry out live and dead LV/HV jointing and terminating on underground distribution networks

• Install, joint and terminate cables on 11kV and 33kV systems

• Interpret network drawings, plans, and cable records

• Ensure compliance with DNO standards and safety procedures

• Complete work to agreed timescales and within required quality parameters

• Report any defects or safety concerns to supervisors

• Work closely with site supervisors, engineers, and safety teams

About you:
You will be a skilled cable jointer with proven experience working on LV/HV networks. You must be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment and committed to maintaining the highest safety standards.

Essential requirements:

• Qualified cable jointer with relevant industry tickets (e.g. DNO authorisations or ENA certificates)

• Proven experience working on 11kV and/or 33kV networks

• Up-to-date SHEA Power or CSCS certification

• Full UK driving licence

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
