This is a top player within the utilities market with a large framework contract delivering improvement solutions to the Southern Water network. They are seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their thriving commercial team in their Brighton office with the plan to build a long-term career with the organisation.

The framework contract is valued between £40-45m per annum consisting of repair and maintenance (R+M) and infrastructure schemes such as new pumping stations and reservoir tanks. The role will see you working on a £10m portfolio of work that is located in the Kent, Sussex and Hampshire areas. The portfolio will be delivered using the NEC Option C form of contract with daily duties including assisting in the building of Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), change management and liaising with clients on a regular basis.

The ideal Assistant Quantity Surveyor will have a degree or relevant qualification with 1+ year’s post-graduate experience working for a civil engineering contractor. A professional approach and the ambition to develop commercially are qualities that they are seeking from the successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor.

The package on offer consists of a salary up to £35k and a generous benefits scheme including sponsorship to gain more sector relevant qualifications.
