Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Structures & Civils)

Salary : to £36k + package

Based : London Bridge, Central London

A key role has developed for a career minded Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a £20m contract in Central London.  The project itself is a mixed use development, where our client is carrying out the excavation, basement, structures and alterations. Due to the location of the project and the rail interlinks surrounding the scheme, there is an ongoing interface with Network Rail.

The role will be to assist a Project Quantity Surveyor. You will assist in the commercial management of key packages of work, ensuring the project achieves the commercial outcomes and targets it has set.

They are seen as both a principle and specialist contractor, with an impressive client portfolio.  The idea for this role will be to train you in the companies procedures and systems and once this project is complete you will have the option to wither move onto a major scheme and be part of a team or oversee your own smaller project.

The suitable Quantity Surveyor will ideally have the following experience:

• Civils or Structures background
• NEC or JCT experience
• Be able to commercially manage a package with minimal supervision
• Commercially astute with a strong eye for detail
• Degree or HND level commercial qualification
• Structured career history
