This exciting opportunity is with a thriving business at the forefront of the buoyant new connections sector. Successfully operating for many years, they have a reputation unsurpassed in the industry for their expertise in the design and build of high voltage (HV) new connections. Thanks to a continued increase in projects that sees no signs of abating, they require Junior Electrical Engineers with a background or knowledge in the design of HV infrastructure to join their team.
You will:
Assist in the design HV / electricity connections (11kV, 33kV) for projects in a range of sectors, including residential, commercial and industrial
Liaise with asset owners and Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) to obtain point of connection and design approval
Ensure designs are carried out in accordance with utility standards
Offer cost estimates for these new connections projects
A qualification in Electrical Engineering is required as is knowledge of the HV / power distribution / utilities industry. Experience using AutoCAD is essential, as is a valid UK driving licence.
