An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Aids and Adaptations Surveyor to work within the public sector. This position is working for a company that have a great track record of treating their staff well. The role will initially be for the duration of 6 months, with the likelihood of this being extended.
Duties will include:
Administrating all disabled adaptations carried out for the registered social landlord, assessing housing qualifications for a Disabled Facilities Grant
Accessing and preparing schedules of work, with specifications and drawings as appropriate, based on the recommendations of the Occupational Therapist, as well as the tenants’ own needs and wishes
Assisting, coordinating and submitting applications for planning permission and building regulations approval where appropriate
Carrying out post inspections when works have been completed to ensure that the works are to the required standard and to the client’s satisfaction
To be considered for this role you:
Will have experience working within a public sector organisation preferably with over 5 years’ current experience within this area
You must have a wealth of experience with Disabled facilities grants
Should have experience of handling budgets, handling contractors and working with occupational therapists
A full, valid driving license and own transport is essential for this role
