A well-respected groundworks and concrete frame contractor is actively recruiting for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join their concrete frame division. This is a long-established specialist within their field, and work in partnership with a variety of main contractor clients on schemes valued between £500k-40m across London & the Home Counties. They take pride in their friendly and professional approach and this is evidenced by several testimonials and their reputation within the industry.

The role will see you:

• Assisting a Project/Senior QS on a portfolio of work up to £20m
• Ensuring that all paperwork is completed and handed in on deadlines
• Working closely with your mentor out on site to carry out measurements and take-offs

An ideal Trainee Quantity Surveyor will have a positive and ambitious attitude along with a degree in Quantity Surveying or have another relevant qualification. Competent knowledge of both NEC and JCT forms of contract would also be beneficial.

As the commercial team manages projects from inception through to completion, this is a good opportunity to learn from your mentor on how to take full control of a complex scheme. After your first project, the Commercial Director will hold a performance review that has the opportunity to result in being assigned a scheme that is under your own full autonomy.
