My client is a large multinational infrastructure contractor who are delivering a major utility framework contract and have a need for 2 THP Operatives with a minimum of 3 years’ experience to work days and night shifts.

As a THP Operative you will be reporting to the THP Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out the operation and front-line maintenance functions on our new sludge treatment process, working closely with other site teams to ensure the smooth running and production of a good quality biosolids product which is recycled back to land.

Key Accountabilities:

• The operation of sludge digesters, boilers, high pressure/temperature reactors, power generation plant and equipment.
• Sampling, testing and basic maintenance and fault-finding of the plant and equipment.
• You will gather data and operate the plant in order to achieve efficient plant performance.
• The monitoring, collating and reporting of data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance is met.
• Close communication and liaison with the wider site team and those working on the effluent process working in a small team which has responsibility to ensure the site is covered 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
• Knowledge and/or experience of working with boilers and energy generation plant, or process equipment, such as pumps and gearboxes, that would beneficial.
• As well as this, you must be prepared to be trained in safety procedures including confined space entry and boiler operation accreditation.
