Temporary Works Coordinator (utilities)

Rate:                     £320 p/d Ltd

Based:                 Warrington

My client is a large multinational infrastructure contractor who are delivering a major utility framework contract and have a need for a Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) / Lifting Appointed Person.

About the role:

  • You will report to the operations lead and will require an excellent working knowledge and demonstrable experience of the management of temporary works in accordance with BS5975 and you will be responsible for the management of multiple items of temporary works, predominantly scaffolding and crane outrigger foundations.
  • You will also ensure compliance is in accordance with the companies temporary works and lifting procedures and the assurance of the supply chain in delivery and management of temporary works.
  • This role is essential to the successful delivery and assurance of technical, safety, health, and environmental (SHE) procedures across the company and you will be part of a small team, integrated within the company and provide technical and SHE support to the projects as required. This team is key to ensuring the company delivers all works safely through our supply chain and in accordance with procedures and legal obligations.
  • This includes planned and reactive maintenance projects and is a fast-paced delivery environment with significant customer interface. This role is vital to ensure efficient planning and delivery of the customer’s requirements and expectations.

Essential:

  • CITB Temporary Works Coordinator qualification.
  • CSCS health and safety card appropriate to job role. Experience managing and coordinating temporary works – scaffolding and lifting operations. Microsoft Office literate. Working knowledge and experience of BS 5975.
  • Ability to visit multiple operational sites
  • CPCS Appointed Person: Lifting Operations A61. (Note : We will accept applications from those who require upskilling in relation to undertaking the required lifting appointed person qualification, but the candidate must currently possess the required engineering and practical experience to undertake a lifting appointed person role).
  • Desired: Temporary works design experience including outrigger mat sizing and foundation design. Comfortable in use of AutoCAD (2D).
  • CITB TWC, Lifting AP, CSCS, SMSTS, EUSR Water Hygiene
