Company:

This leading privately-owned company was founded over 3 decades ago. They offer a wide range of services including Design, Construction, Property Development and Property Management within both the residential and commercial sectors. This company are now looking for a Technical Manager with a background in Civil Engineering to come and join their team.

Position:

The role as Civil Engineering Technical Manager will see you taking responsibility for managing highways sectional agreements to build new roads (Section 278), as well as managing the water and waste connections build and the eventual sewer adoption. This will involve processing the 106 and 186 section agreements concurrently. Reviewing and submitting applications for building control, National House Building Council (NHBC) and SAP assessments will also be a key element of your role, along with:

  • Liaising with external consultants and subcontractors
  • Attending site meetings as required
  • Communicating with the commercial team

Ideal Individual Technical Manager:

The ideal Technical Manager will have Civil Engineering experience, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience with either a developer or contractor on large scale residential developments, as well as the following:

  • Be architecturally/ engineer trained;
  • Demonstrate an ability to resolve design issues through innovative and cost-effective solutions;
  • Show an ability to communicate effectively with external parties (client, consultant, etc.);
  • Be comfortable working across a number of projects at any one time with proven organisation skills.
