Site Engineer - Infrastructure - Devon

They are now looking for a Site Engineer to join them!
 
The role of Site Engineer will see you joining this organisation working on an infrastructure upgrade programme to support the MODs future requirements in relation to both its warship and submarine programme. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain safe systems of work as part of developing SHE programme and participate in weekly SHE inspections.
  • Daily supervision and organisation (in conjunction with site team) of subcontractors to ensure safe working practices in accordance with project requirements e.g. specification and terms and conditions.
  • Be responsible and co-operate with the site team to ensure work is planned and undertaken in accordance with the Project Safety, Health and Environmental Plan.
  • Be responsible and adhere to the quality process in accordance with the Project Quality Plan, with a particular emphasis on defect avoidance and zero defects at completion to ensure Nuclear Safety.
  • Setting out of structures.
  • Maintaining Quality Assurance Records and ensuring compliance with specification.
  • Record keeping of site and other activities, including contractual records, for example daily diaries.
Qualifications:
  • Degree level/HNC/HND qualification in a Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering
Technical Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years work experience within a similar role with a main contractor in built environment.
  • Experience of coordinating design work and supervising subcontracts.
  • Understanding of Engineering Principles
  • Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices
Desirable criteria (the ideal)
  • Experience in piling, steelwork erection, precast and insitu concrete
  • Experience of heavy lift and transport contractors
  • Experience of construction on a nuclear licensed site
  • Security Clearance (SC)
