  • As a Shift Manager, would you like to be a part of a successful team delivering prestigious and challenging projects?
  • As a Shift Manager would you like to be responsible for the efficient and safe delivery of works within a station worksite?

Would you like to be responsible for the delivery of the company’s works? This includes the coordination of self-delivered works, Tier 2 subcontractor works, and TP works. Reporting of the self-delivered, and subcontractors works in the responsibility of the Shift Manager, with information provided by the MEP representative, Lead SPC, Shift Engineer and Tier 2 Sub-Contractors.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Have good communication skills in English (both written and verbal) and be able to report at Management level
  • Educated to degree or higher level or equivalent in a numerate discipline, typically an Engineering discipline. A lower educational level, typically HNC or HND may be acceptable where a very significant level of experience in a senior technical engineering role can be demonstrated.
  • Typically, 5 years’ experience with a Civil Engineering Contractor on large infrastructure, Fit‐Out or tunnelling contracts
  • Demonstrable previous relevant experience within LU or similar rail environment
  • Experience of managing programmes of work, ensuring the project runs to schedule
  • Experience in managing on‐site monitoring, dealing with subcontractors and finding solutions to problems that may cause delays or extra costs
  • In‐depth knowledge of the development and implementation of quality management
  • Hold CSCS card
  • Hold an in‐date SMSTS Certificate
  • Computer skills – Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer, Project
  • Hold an LU Sentinel Card
  • Hold First Aid Training Certificate
  • Hold both LU & DLR Basic Track Awareness
  • Hold a Confined Space Training Certificate
