Senior Quantity Surveyor (Rail)

Salary:  £65k + package

Based:  East London (RM9 6PR)

One of the UK’s leading independently owned rail contractors has just secured a highly prestigious Network Rail contract!

Outside of HS2, this is arguably the key rail contract being delivered in the UK that will see major improvements and upgrades.  The works will range from minor repairs through to complex civils and structures schemes.  The contract is being delivered under NEC.

Our client has a need for a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team, and support the Senior Commercial Manager in delivering their share of this multi-billion pound framework.  The package of work awarded to them is in the region of £450m.  The role will see you manage some of the key packages of work on the scheme.  If management interests you there is an opportunity to also oversee and mentor a small team of Quantity Surveyors, ranging in levels from Assistant through to Intermediate Quantity Surveyor.  You will ensure tight commercial control over the projects, working closely with the client.  Experience within rail will be highly beneficial.
