Senior / Managing Quantity Surveyor (Rail)

Salary:  to £75k + package

Based:  Buckinghamshire and Aylesbury

About the Company:

• An established UK Civils and Construction company
• Infrastructure is delivering £200m of work, with a focus and plan to double that turnover
• Exceptional reputation in terms of how they look after their staff
• Their rail division has secured some key projects that include HS2, which is where this role will be focused on

About the Project:

• My client are mainly a Tier 1 contractor.  On HS2 they are securing medium civils schemes and have been awarded a £15m portfolio of work, with the view to secure allot more over the duration of the contract.

About the Role:

• Require a commercially astute Managing or Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee the portfolio of work.  The role will see you work closely with the Lead Project Manager and report directly to the Civils Commercial Director.
• Project will be NEC Option C

About You:

• Ability to manage change, and understand key contractual issues that come with NEC Option C
• Able to work independently and take a lead in contract negotiations, variations and change during the cycle of the project
• Have a structured career history within the rail and infrastructure sectors
