This leading civils contractor is playing a key part in a joint venture (JV) that will bring more effective, faster and cleaner travel to rail routes along the North East of the UK. The actual projects that will be constructed will range from OLE, complex structures and major substations.

They seek an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who will support the Commercial Manager to ensure the project achieves its financial / commercial targets. As the Senior Quantity Surveyor you will play an important role in supporting a commercial team of varying levels, offering guidance and advice. This role will offer the opportunity for you to become a Change Manager, where you will price up key changes and manage the process to agreement.

The position will suit a Senior Quantity Surveyor with the following experience:

- Long term team player

- Strong background in rail / civil infrastructure

- Extensive Change Management experience

- Able to manage a team

- Confident in your ability

- Effective communicator (verbal and written)

- Good decision making skills
