Senior Quantity Surveyor (Rail & Civils)

Salary:  to £65k + package + bonus

Based:  Home Working / Chelmsford (CM3)

About the Company:

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a rapidly growing rail contractor to deliver key Network Rail projects in the South East.  The company has been established for some time but nearly 3 years ago had investment put into it.  It was done with the view to become a Tier 1 contractor on a number of rail frameworks being delivered in the UK.  Its resulted in taking the business on a 4 fold growth programme to become a £100m + contractor securing exciting schemes for 2021 and beyond!

About the Role:

The Regional Commercial Manager for the South East requires an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to assist in delivering a £35m portfolio of work.  The role will see you assist in managing the Junior Quantity Surveyors and become a key member within a team of 6.  The work itself will involve civils, structures (bridges, retaining walls, steel), piling and permanent work design.  These schemes will be ranging from £500k to £4m.

About You:

• Have a civils infrastructure background (either rail / highways / utilities / water)
• Be able to manage your own portfolio of work, along with assisting in the junior quantity surveyors development
• Able to read drawings accurately, identifying challenges and opportunities
• Be able to access the Chelmsford office
• Degree or HND level qualification
