Senior Quantity Surveyor - London - S

Respected specialist road and civils contractor is looking for a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor!

With a turnover that equates to nearly £20m per annum, they have developed an excellent client base that consists of some of the leading highways contractors in the UK.  Their portfolio of work is delivered within the Greater and Central London areas, taking on a mainly Tier 2 contractor status.

They require a Senior Quantity Surveyor who will take full commercial control and delivery over a portfolio of work that equates to £15m per annum.  The projects, around 90%, will be delivered under the NEC contract and be mainly A & E but also E.  The rest will be JCT. 

The role will require a Surveyor who understands the hands on approach required to work with a specialist contractor.  The chosen Senior Quantity Surveyor will need to be assertive but also possess the soft skills to understand and solve issues facing the clients the company works with.  You will also form a close working relationship with the site team. The key will be to have a proactive approach in how the projects are delivered and to focus profitability when producing estimates.

The position will incorporate both pre and post construction duties, offering variety and excitement that will suit a Surveyor who enjoys taking on autonomy and who wants to have the direct working relationship with the owners of the company.  They have a friendly approach and have an excellent reputation in terms of how they look after and treat their colleagues. 

This roles requires a Quantity Surveyor who ideally has a Tier 2 / sub-contracting background.
