Senior Quantity Surveyor (Groundworks & Civils)

Day Rate: to £400 per day Ltd

Based: Bedfordshire

About the Company:

Independently owned, highly respected and with a recognised reputation in delivering key contracts within the Northern Home Counties. Their current portfolio is mainly focused around residential, education and industrial schemes however are strengthening other areas like rail and road contracts. Project value sizes range from £500k to £8m.

The owner’s primary goal is to offer a sound and value engineering service that is reliable and efficient.  Forecasts for 2020 are strong, off the back of an already successful 2019. The future for the company is exciting!

About the Role:

Reporting into the Head of Commercial, you will be running a portfolio of projects.  How many will be dependent on the values of each.  A key element to this role will be your ability to do accurate methods of measurement, using SMM7. You will work closely with the commercial lead to ensure the projects are delivered to the financial targets set as well as looking for opportunities during the course of the jobs.

• Strong groundworks / civils background
• Strong client interfacing skills
• Long term team player
• Able to produce accurate measurements using SMM7
• Structured career history
• Able to work independently
• Have a dynamic approach to your work
