Section Engineer

Location: Bank Station (EC3)

Pay: £300 per day

• Are you a section engineer that wants to work on one of the largest capacity upgrade projects in the UK?
• Do you have experience in working on Crossrail or London Underground projects?

About the role:

• The role of the Section Engineer is to plan, provide engineering control and supervise production resources & Site Engineers, ensuring compliance with project procedures for the following defined section of the works;
• Architectural Finishes Works and Civils
• This will involve substantial Tier 2 Subcontractor Management, ensuring documentation and designs are ready for contractual Access Dates.
• The Section Engineer must work very closely with the rest of the Delivery Team and Engineering design team, to ensure a high-quality standard, safe and efficient delivery of the works.

About you:

• Have good communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
• Educated to degree or higher level or equivalent in a numerate discipline, typically an Engineering discipline.
• Typically 5 years experience with a Civil Engineering Contractor on large infrastructure, Fit‐Out or tunnelling contracts
• Demonstrable previous relevant experience within LU or similar rail environment
• Experience of managing programmes of work, ensuring the project runs to schedule
• Experience in managing on‐site monitoring, dealing with subcontractors and finding solutions to problems that may cause delays or extra costs
• Hold CSCS card
• Hold an in‐date SMSTS Certificate
• Computer skills – Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer, Project
• Hold an LU Sentinel Card
• Hold First Aid Training Certificate
• Hold both LU & DLR Basic Track Awareness
• Hold a Confined Space Training Certificate
