Section Engineer

Location: Chambers Wharf, South East London (SE16 4XR)

Pay: £350 per day


  • Are you a section engineer that wants to work on the prestigious £604m Thames Tideway Tunnel Project?
  • Do you have experience working on tunnelling projects?


Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Site Engineers in the Engineering requirements of the project and liaise with the Senior Engineer, Agent and Works Manager.
  • Be responsible for the supervision, preparation, checking and approval of design work in accordance with Company Procedures.
  • Develop and report section programmes and budgets and ensuring that the works are conducted safely
  • Working with the supply chain contractors to ensure coordination of activities, access, logistics and planning of activities in your specific area
  • Record keeping and compliance to Works Information documentation for the installed works
  • Meet project delivery requirements.
  • Managing technical engineering tasks and specialist subcontractors
  • Managing works to budget and programme
  • Managing project Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures
  • Liaise with other Engineering, support and construction operations.
  • Offer advice and support to colleagues and subordinates on development needs
  • Commensurate experience in large project environment

About you:

  • Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HNC in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering
  • Understanding of Engineering Principles
  • Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
  • Relevant CSCS Card
  • Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management
  • Presentation skills
