With over 70 years’ experience in the UK this specialised civil engineering contractor is a leader in their field, they provide innovative solutions to all of their areas of operation across civil structures (rail, highways and water), buildings, industrial, commercial and power generation. Part of a larger international group they draw on the support of over 150 companies in 80 countries providing a complete service from design through to build and every step between.

Reporting to the Managing Director they are looking for an Operations Manager to drive the growth in the southern region, working as part of the senior leadership team this role will play an integral part in setting up the strategy for the entire business, whilst also being responsible for growing a profitable, robust and sustainable business in the Southern area with the support of the regional management team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a forward thinking Business Manager to lead a well-established, growing office to even better success.

To be considered for this role the successful Operations Manager will ideally have the following background and experience:

• Degree or higher level qualification in a numerate discipline typically an engineering or related field.
• Demonstrable experience within a senior Leadership role for an appropriately sized civil engineering organisation.
• Multi-disciplinary knowledge gained in the concrete repair, strengthening, and refurbishment sectors, candidates with specific knowledge of the bridge sector will be looked at with a preference.
• Ideally you will hold chartered status with an appropriate body (CIOB, ICE, IET, etc.)
