Quantity Surveyor - Hampshire

The Company:

A circa £100m turnover civils contractor, that specialises in complex projects delivered predominantly to developers. These can range from roads, sewers, groundworks, remediation, shell & core and demolition. They have been nominated for and won several awards over the years such as NHBC ‘Pride in the Job’. A key differentiator is the fact that they like to get involved at the design stages of their assigned projects to develop smarter ways of working and value engineering opportunities. They pride themselves on being a family-run contractor who extends that feeling to all of their employees and everyone involved in the business.

The Role:

Through continuous success in tendering for new projects, they have identified the need to recruit a ‘standalone’ Quantity Surveyor to manage a portfolio of work. These schemes will range from £300k -10m in value and can be up to 75 miles from the office in Southampton. The successful Quantity Surveyor will have full commercial autonomy over their assigned projects and will split their time between the office and site.

The Ideal Quantity Surveyor:

• 5+ years’ Quantity Surveying experience working on projects within civil engineering
• NEC contract experience
• Ability to work under own direction and control
