Quantity Surveyor (Specialist Civils)

Salary:  £45k + package

Based:  East Sussex, TN22 1HG

Calco are working closely with a specialist civils contractor to identify a Quantity Surveyor to join their team with the focus of working on their new HS2 portfolio of work.  The prospects and opportunities coming out of HS2 for this contractor are immense, with project values ranging up to £30m.  Some of the schemes will be carried out under a JV status whilst others individually.  With HS2 developing at pace, they have identified other major projects and sectors like the Thames Crossing, Silvertown, aviation and renewable as exciting growth plans for the company.

They have a role for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team and work closely with the company Commercial Director.  You will assist in primarily post contract commercial duties however some pre-construction will be carried out too.  A large portion of the contracts will be delivered under NEC.

About You:

• HNC / BSc level qualification
• Good civils background.  If you have an understanding of the ground engineering or structural instrumentation and monitoring sector that would be beneficial
• Structured career history
• Knowledge of NEC
• Be able to work within a team environment
• Good interpersonal and client interaction skills
