Here is an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a market leading, long-established groundworks and concrete frame contractor that has built its reputation on the skill, experience and innovation of its people. The contractor carries out projects in and around London for Tier 1 Clients and has built strong relationships with their clients due to the quality that they deliver from conception to completion of a project. These clients include but not limited to: Osborne, Kier, and Sir Robert McAlpine.

Position:

As the Quantity Surveyor you will be reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor and have full autonomy of your projects. The chosen Quantity Surveyor will need to be pro-active and capable of looking after projects of varying sizes between £2m and £15m in value. This is a great opportunity to work on a variety of projects including residential, commercial and public within a company that places training and career development at its core.

Specific duties will involve, but are not limited to:

• Measurement
• Interim Valuations and Application for Payment
• Pricing Variations
• Project Cash Flow Forecasts
• Internal Cost Value Reconciliations
• Procurement of Subcontractors, including tender enquiries and orders
• Material reconciliations
• Labour forecasts
• Regular site visits (1 to 2 days per week)

The successful candidate for this role will already have established knowledge of the groundworks and RC Frame sector and be familiar with various construction methods.

Successful candidates will have a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying and be able to demonstrate experience of similar projects.
