A reputable contractor with a strong presence in the South East is looking to recruit a competent Quantity Surveyor to manage a portfolio of minor civils packages local to their Grays office. These are a variety of schemes ranging between £100k-2m in value.

This is a company that has won numerous awards in recent times and is a market leader in the fields they operate in. They are continuing to grow as an organisation and are looking to build their team with individuals that have similar ambitions in expansion.

As a Quantity Surveyor, your duties will be to:

• Oversee the commercial function of up to 7 civils schemes at any one time
• Operate using the NEC, JCT and bespoke forms of contract
• Maintain existing and build relationships with clients

The ideal Quantity Surveyor will have a structured career history in taking full commercial control of minor civil engineering schemes, ideally for a subcontractor rather than a main contractor. Experience of using both NEC and JCT forms of contract would also be advantageous.

This opportunity allows the successful Quantity Surveyor to work under their own full autonomy whilst reporting to the Commercial Director once a week. With successful performance, you will be considered to progress to Commercial Manager and to recruit your own Trainee/Assistant within the next two years.
