Quantity Surveyor (civils and highway) - Kent

Do you enjoy working independently and taking autonomy over your work?

Do you have a civils background, with a sound knowledge of administrating the NEC Contract?

If yes, then this established and respected civils contractor would be interested in hearing from you!  With their core focus on delivering highways and road contracts within the M25, project sizes will range mainly from £400 – 600k but may include larger contracts up to £3m.  Turnover is in the region of £8m.

The role of Quantity Surveyor for this contractor will involve taking full commercial control over the contract being delivered.  You will work closely with the Contracts Management team to ensure the works are being delivered within the financial targets set, as well as maximising profit.  Daily tasks may involve pricing variations, payment applications and putting EOT claims together.  Normally project portfolio will be in the region of 5 projects.  The position will report directly into the company owner.

This role would suit someone on 2 ends of the scale:

1. Locally based to the Dartford area who wants a good work life balance
2. An intermediate Quantity Surveyor wanting to work for a traditional contractor where they can gain hands on, practical commercial experience
