Quality Bid Writer (Highways/Motorways)

Hertfordshire (EN8)

Salary:  £45,000 - £50,000

 

My client, a large Highways services contractor based in the South East are looking for a Bid Writer to produce Quality Bids for new Motorways/Highways tenders and assistance with PQQ and SQ’s

You will be reporting directly to the Commercial Manager and you will be working with commercial and operational teams, where appropriate, to evaluate and then write quality response content for framework and tenders.

Key Skills:

  • Management of Tender Portals throughout the bid process including distribution
  • To willingly carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of commercial team
  • To interface with the group to share best practice and innovation
  • Hands on and active support for colleagues
  • Professional and tidy appearance
  • Courteous and prompt telephone manner
  • Keeping all promises within deadlines agreed
  • Consistently working at a level consistent with, or higher than, agreed divisional service levels
  • All correspondence acknowledged or actioned within 48 hours of receipt
  • All reports submitted within 1 day of close of reporting period

 

Person Specification:

  • Educated to A level or Degree Level ideally
  • Experience in quality bid writing, enthusiasm, team player, flexible in terms of hours worked
  • Effective communication, good telephone manner, excellent Time Management, PC literacy
  • Organisational skills, accuracy/attention to detail, ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work to deadlines
