They have built a reputation as one of the market leaders within the rail and civil engineering sector, having been involved in some of the most iconic and prestigious projects in the UK. Their portfolio ranges from major construction schemes through to complex civil engineering projects that have included Crossrail and Thames Tideway. With their continued growth plans in the rail civils market they are looking to recruit a Project Manager with a background in Rail Civil Engineering (CRE) to join the operations team based in the South East working on a number of smaller trackside civil projects.
Summary:
The role of Project Manager will see you take responsibility for the management of engineers and the construction site in order to achieve required project delivery to the customers’ objectives, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control. You will be supporting in the tendering process and pricing of minor civils works (concrete foundations, piling, retaining walls, groundworks, drainage, etc.), acting as construction CRE on projects under your control in their initial stages. Overseeing minor civils construction works including managing the onsite sub-contractors whilst also reviewing the designs / drawings and provide suitable comments, supported by relevant civils standards.
